Flower of the Week: Zkittles
It is official, it is completely a brand new year and now everyone is on edge with what 2021 will bring to all of us. And as we settle into the official first week of the year all of us need a little bit of a calming break before we jump into the deep end and pursue our goals for the next chapter of our lives, and that is where our flower of the week, Zkittles, comes in.
The love child of Grapefruit, Grape Ape and an unknown strain, Zkittles has an eerily similar aroma to that of its namesake. With the fruity notes it is no wonder why you will feel as though you are being lured to the strain. While most would associate fruity notes as energy building, it is in fact more known for calming your senses. Just imagine yourself enjoying the strain after a long day at work as you soak up the star-filled night sky on these chilly winter nights, the way the constellations come to attention as they entice you to watch them glimmer into the wee hours of the night. And as you sink into the couch, wrapped up in your favorite blanket you find yourself in a Zen state, one that you had never experienced before. That is the Zkittles strain, a sense of calm that rushes through your entire being as you take your precious time.
One of the amazing aspects of the Zkittles strain is the fact that it has shown to uplift those who enjoy the strain. In fact, in a poll that was conducted on Leafly 28% stated feeling uplifted, while another 56% stated feeling relaxed. Another positive aspect for this strain is the fact that nearly 22% stated feeling sleepy, showing that this strain has some abilities of *helping those who have some sleeping issues.
Just like every other strain that we showcase here at the Speakeasy we always try to educate others not only with the positive aspects of each strain, but also the negative aspects of it as well. Stated before the most common negative aspect of any strain is dry mouth, in the poll for Zkittles nearly 18% noted having dry mouth. Another negative aspect of the strain are dry eyes and dizziness, with 9% and 3% respectively noting these two common issues.
Over at the Speakeasy we strive to have the best medicinal needs, while also educating others on the strains and the progress that has been made. If you wish to learn more about the research poll regarding the Zkittles strain, check it out here.
